How can you have any better customers than the users of a playground?
We constructed this one at Sunrise Drive Elementary a few years back and it still looks great!
From start to finish, this took 40 days!
Our team battled the snowy conditions at the Steward Observatory, Mt. Lemmon, to get this telescope foundation cast in place.
Our Hilti Total Station made the layout precise.
All the form work was pre-fabricated in our shop.
It is now ready for the enclosure, dome, and telescope.
It will be tough to construct a telescope foundation with all this white stuff piled up on the ground. Where’s our layout stakes?
Excellent new housing for Senior’s of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe!
Even at the snowy Mt Lemmon Sky Center, our team is going to mobilize and make the OWL Telescope foundation a success!
Kappcon is very happy to deliver a new Fire Station for the Three Points Fire District. They have a great vision!
For the past 10 years, we have built up our capabilities with a mechanical Total Station. This tool has forever changed the way we layout foundations, sites, and intricate architectural features. We have now taken the next step and upgraded to a robotic total station. We will be using this for construction staking, precision layouts, as built documentation, and more.
This is how we use BIM to everyone’s advantage on the job site. Read more about Total Stations here.
It’s not everyday you meet a couple of Roos on the road to your Observatory Building project – however, this was quite common for the team at the KMTNet in Siding Spring Observatory! We sure had fun with the challenges of the this Design-Build observatory construction project…
About one year ago, the team from Kappcon traveled to the South African Astronomical Observatory in Sutherland, South Africa. It was an amazing work trip full of long days, cooperation, and problem solving. This was a truly great team effort. The telescope is one of three for the Korean Microlensing Telescope Network.
This was part of the Design-Build observatory construction contract that Kappcon has recently completed.
These telescopes will be detecting a lot of planets in the near future.
