Kappcon General Contracting was a Job Order Contractor to build this Splash Pad. We started the work in April 2020. Working through the Covid Pandemic, we were able to deliver this splash pad by September, 2020.

Tahoe Park Playground
This summer we worked on a new playground for Tahoe Park. We hope all the neighborhood children get to enjoy this for years to come!
Lincoln Park Splash Pad
This summer we worked on a few Parks and Rec projects for City of Tucson. Here is drone video of our Splash Pad at Lincoln Park.
Construction of a 6M Antenna at Biosphere 2
Kappcon has completed the infrastructure needed for the installation of a new telescope at Biosphere 2.
Remediation of Horseshoe Canyon
For this project, Kappcon returned a sacred mountain site back to a more natural state.
Completed Design-Build Project – ADOT Maintenance Building
Finished up our Maintenance Building for ADOT. It was built using the Design-Build methodology.
Completed Project on Rita Road
A completed project, a happy team, and a souvenir picture!
Kappcon partnered with David Shambach, and George Roop to build this 40,000 SF facility for the Tucson Cannabis Campus. It is a state of the art indoor cultivation center that is setting the industry standard.
Completed Project: 18th Street Bungalows
Summer 2019 has been a productive season here at Kappcon, as we close the books on a beautiful completed residential project: the 18th Street Bungalows!
The 18th Street Bungalows are a fresh addition to the downtown neighborhood, adding a pop of color with vibrant door colors and modern, stylish designs.

Kappcon Summer BBQ
This past weekend Kappcon kicked off the summer heat with a BBQ at the Crossroads at Silverbell District Park! Staff, family, and friends all joined to have some fun in the Sun with giant jenga, cornhole, and our very own Kappcon project—the Marana Splash Pad!
We kept it cool with lots of shade, ice cream, and plenty of splashing around in the splash pad. Get your feet wet this summer with some fun at the splash pad at the Crossroads at Silverbell District in Marana, open 8am to 7pm every day!
And thank you to everyone that makes us a family. We can’t wait for more adventures in the future with Kappcon!

Completed Project: Himmel Park Playground
In 2018, Kappcon and the City of Tucson Parks & Rec department teamed up to breathe new life into Himmel Park. There are now designated play zones for younger and older children as well as picnic tables, water fountains and shady areas for parents. Parents will also be pleased by the new concrete pathways that allow strollers to easily access different points within the park.
Most importantly, the beloved metal slide community members rallied to protect is still standing. Tucson kids will be able to zoom down the freshly painted retro slide for decades to come!
Thank you to the Tucson community for your support throughout this project. It is one of our favorites of 2018!

A bluegrass dinner to celebrate the Christmas Season!
Merry Christmas! There was about 65 people in attendance at Kappcon’s Christmas Party this year.
While we had hoped to host this year’s party in the spectacular Flowing Wells Library MPR – which Kappcon built this year – we were really happy to instead transform our own warehouse into party space.
Thanks to Cadillac Mountain for jamming at our garage party (Thanks Joel, Rudy, Katy, and Heather). Tucson friends, you need to see this bluegrass band.
Everyone feasted on delicious Italian dishes from Roma Imports and embibed in wine from Plaza Liquors (Thanks Mark for pointing out some good bottles).

This Splash Pad was a Design Build project partnerships between Kappcon General Contracting, McGann and Associates, Aqua Design International, M3 Engineering, and Shade Industries.
